Wuhan Steel has achieved results in going global, with the CLM project in Canada from mine to port.

On September 17 at 17:28, the "Hehai" vessel, loaded with the first batch of iron concentrate from Canada’s CLM company, slowly docked at Wharf No. 1 of the Wugang Industrial Port. This is another substantial achievement of Wugang's "going out" strategy following the arrival of the first batch of iron concentrate from Brazil's MMX company on August 15.

Wuhan Steel has achieved results in going global, with the CLM project in Canada from mine to port.
On September 17 at 17:28, the "Hehai" vessel, loaded with the first batch of iron concentrate from Wu Steel's Canadian CLM company, slowly docked at berth 1 of Wu Steel Industrial Port. This is another substantial achievement of Wu Steel's "going out" strategy following the arrival of the first batch of iron concentrate from Brazil's MMX company on August 15.

The first batch of high-quality iron concentrate produced by Wu Steel's Canadian CLM company from the Bloom Lake iron mine, weighing approximately 165,200 tons, has a grade of 66.5% and extremely low impurity content. It set sail from the Port of Sept-Îles in Quebec, Canada, on July 27 local time, and after more than a month of maritime transport, it successfully arrived at Ningbo Beilun Port on September 9. After unloading, the iron concentrate was transferred from the ocean freighter to a smaller vessel of 10,000-ton capacity. The "Hehai" vessel, with a loading capacity of about 7,080 tons, left Beilun Port on September 11, entered the Yangtze River channel from Wusongkou, and arrived at Wu Steel Industrial Port after more than 100 hours of transport.

The Wu Steel Canadian CLM project is Wu Steel's first equity mining project overseas. Since its official delivery on July 20 last year, the first batch of equity ore has officially arrived at Wu Steel in just one year. This is the fastest yielding, most cost-effective, and highest return project among Wu Steel's overseas iron ore resource development projects.

It is reported that another four vessels carrying approximately 676,400 tons of Wu Steel's Canadian CLM project equity ore are currently en route and will gradually arrive in the country, with a total of 2.8 million tons of Canadian CLM project equity ore expected to be returned to the country this year. This will not only provide stable raw material support for Wu Steel's production and operations but also increase China's new voice in international iron ore price negotiations.
